Stop suffering from PTSD

There is hope!

With over 30 years of experience helping people with PTSD, we can show you how to recover and reclaim your life.

As a law enforcement officer or a first responder, you are always on the front line.

Always on duty, day and night.

The chronic stress generated by your work can be extremely detrimental.

And even the strongest men and women can suffer from exposure to traumatic events leading to PTSD, slowly consuming you from inside.

Do you experience these symptoms?

  • Sleep issues and nightmares
  • Anger issues and self-destructive behavior
  • Feeling frustrated all the time
  • Getting impatient with everyone and about everything
  • Lack of focus and concentration
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Slower decision process and procrastination
  • Mood disorder
  • Feeling overwhelmed, down or depressed
  • Feeling hopeless about the future
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Your spouse says she doesn’t recognize you
  • Poor communication with family members
  • Feeling emotionally detached

Finding balance

Because we work with veterans, we know how difficult it is to find balance, emotionally and mentally, between your work and your personal life. We have learned that tools to get better are limited. Even acknowledging and communicating about the issue can be very difficult. Those who suffer from extreme stress and trauma, and potentially from PTSD find themselves isolated, struggling in their life or they may still live in denial. Because, it seems there is no way out, no hope.

There is hope

We are here to tell you that there is actually a way out. A way back to your life, like it was before. A life where you can enjoy a day with your family. A life where you don’t struggle anymore because you have regain focus and concentration. A life where you know the meaning of a restful night. We can offer you the tools to find your way back.

The power of NeurOptimal at home

You can experience brain training from home by renting our machine. This non-invasive and safe system allows to train your brain every day. It will take you only 35 min per training. The true power of this training lies in the non-verbal interaction with the trainer. However, this package includes optional evaluations and follow-ups with Marie-Laure Wagner-Hunsaker, certified advanced neurofeedback trainer and life coach if your wish to express your transformation and understand the changes. Enjoy your training from 4 to 7 times a week for two months. This is a non-medical device.

Online training

Experience our brain training at home. You only need an internet connection and your phone! This technology uses safe and customized signals based on a questionnaire to re-train your brain. This package includes an hour of evaluation per week. For optimal results, it is best to train your brain twice a day, every day for 40 minutes each time. We recommend 8 to 12 weeks of training. This is a non-medical device.

Why do we use NeurOptimal®?

Dynamical Neurofeddback™ technology has been developed by Clinical Neuro-psychologists and is unique to NeurOptimal®. Instead of telling the brain what to do by the practitioner setting the goals for that day, NeurOptimal® Dynamical Neurofeedback™ takes advantage of the brain’s natural dynamical learning processes by giving the brain the information it needs to do the work ITSELF. It’s like holding a mirror to the brain so it can correct itself. This gently and surely enables the brain to function more efficiently. NeurOptimal® naturally maximizes the brain’s innate capabilities of self-regulation, resilience and flexibility.

FAQ

What happens in a session?
You will sit in a comfortable position and simply relax. Tiny sensors are applied to your scalp and ears. These sensors are used so NeurOptimal® can read the delicate electrical activity of your brain (much like an EKG reads your heart) – nothing is going into you. As the session begins you listen to music and watch a dynamical visual display, although you can close your eyes if you prefer. There are very brief micro-pauses in the audio stream indicating NeurOptimal® is at work. After a session or two, you may start to notice some changes. Interestingly, quite substantial changes brought about by your brain working with NeurOptimal® can happen so seamlessly and organically, that it may take someone else pointing out to you how much you have actually changed for you to notice! Despite the complexity “under the hood”, no effort is required from you during sessions, at all! Simply relax and enjoy the 30-35 minute session while your brain re-organizes itself.
How many sessions?
Because everyone’s central nervous system is different, it is not possible to predict exactly how your brain will work with NeurOptimal®. But because we have over ten years of experience at InnerOptimal and because NeurOptimal® has more than three million hours of use all over the world, we provide two types of program depending on your overall state, needs and goals. We recommend at least 24 sessions and it is best to do over 36 sessions to fully recover from heavy trauma. We have selected these programs based on our experience. We have learned over time to recognize the different stages that the brain takes to change and optimize itself. Within six to twelve sessions, you will see noticeable changes. But it usually takes between over 30 sessions to see these changes being successful and lasting.
Do the effects last?
NeurOptimal® is a learning task, like riding a bike or learning how to read: Once you know, you can’t “not know”, so the effects do remain with you. But your brain is also a living tissue, and it can get “knocked off” by challenges, by hormonal changes, pollutants in the environment and the general stresses of everyday life. When this happens, a session or two can help you get back on point, working at your optimal efficiency. Even if you come back many years later, the brain recognizes the information it receives from NeurOptimal®. It can find its way back relatively rapidly– much more quickly than the first time you did the training. So if you have challenges like an illness, the loss of a job or a relationship, or even a head injury, your brain can quickly and efficiently use the information it receives from NeurOptimal® to reorganize itself. Once you have done a fairly complete initial training (say 20-30 sessions), we like to provide a boosting program when needed.
